ALEXA PRIZE: TASKBOT CHALLENGE 2
Upcoming application deadline: Nov 4th
Don’t miss your chance to join the Alexa Prize community as a participant in our multimodal conversational AI competition: TaskBot Challenge 2 ! This competition addresses one of the hardest problems in conversational AI — to create next-generation conversational AI experiences that delight customers by addressing their changing needs as they complete complex tasks. Each participating team will receive a $250,000 research grant, Alexa-enabled devices, free Amazon Web Services (AWS) cloud computing services to support their research and development efforts, access to the CoBot Toolkit, other data resources, Alexa team support, and invitations to attend Alexa Prize events. Most importantly, you will have the ability to access real world users at scale to test and evolve your innovations in conversational AI. Applications close November 4th, so don’t delay.
You can find more details and the application link herehttps://www.amazon.science/alexa-prize/taskbot-challenge/2022.
New this year:
This year’s challenge will be expanded to include more hobbies and at-home activities. Participating teams will be asked to propose innovative ways to incorporate visual aids into every conversation turn when a screen is available. Innovative ideas on improving the presentation of visual aids, as well as the coordination of visual and verbal modalities will be part of the team selection criteria.
Overall Performance Prize:
For the three teams that build the TaskBot with the highest overall performance, the first-place team will win $500,000, the second-place team will win $100,000, and the third-place team will win $50,000. These prizes will be paid directly to the students on each winning team.
