LaugHSMI is a full-day workshop dedicated to advancing our understanding of the role of laughter, smiles, and humor in human-computer interaction and multimodal communication. These phenomena are fundamental to social bonding and conversation regulation, yet they remain computationally challenging to detect, interpret, and generate. We welcome interdisciplinary contributions from fields such as affective computing, NLP, computer vision, speech processing, human-computer interactions, and social signal processing.
