SIGDial elections - call for notification reminder

Dear Member,

We have an upcoming SIGDial election (timeline below).

This is a kind reminder to participate in the nomination process. Due to
some technical issues, some of you might not have received the first call,
we apologize about this.

We welcome your nominations for the positions of President, Vice President,
Secretary, Treasurer and

Board (Advisory Committee) member.

Per our constitution, 3 of the Board members are elected and 3 are
appointed by the President.

Timeline:

Apr 17 - May 1 - Nomination period

May 8 - May 14 - Election period

May 21 - Election results

Each nominee must be nominated by two nominators but you can submit your
nomination on your own (i.e. without a co-nominator).

To submit a nomination, you have two options:

  1. fill-in a form available at https://forms.gle/8upoHXCJQn5diABKA

or

  1. Email elections@sigdial.org  elections@sigdial.orgwith the following
    structure:

Email subject should be of the form: "Nomination of <name> for <position>"

And the body should contain:

Name of nominee: <name>

Affiliation of nominee: <affiliation>

Position of nominee: <title at affiliation>

Email address of nominee: <email>

Nominated for: <position being nominated for>

Nominator: <your name>

(Optionally) Co-nominator: <other nominator's name>

The co-nominator should be cc'ed on the email.

The nominee will receive an email asking them to confirm their interest in

the position by providing a brief statement of their background with

SIGDial and what they plan to do if elected.

Watch your email for the election ballot!
