Job Posting: Permanent Research Scientist and Assistant Professor positions in Nancy, France
The Multispeech team (https://team.inria.fr/multispeech https://team.inria.fr/multispeech) is seeking exceptional candidates for permanent (i.e., tenured) Research Scientist and Assistant Professor positions.
A joint team of University of Lorraine, Inria, and CNRS, Multispeech focuses on spoken human-machine interaction, with particular attention to (1) data-efficient and privacy-preserving machine learning for speech processing, (2) information extraction from multimodal (i.e., acoustic, facial, articulatory, and gestural) speech, and (3) multimodal speech synthesis. We are currently expanding towards multimodal dialog, aiming to break the classical dialog management scheme to dynamically account for the user's behavior during the machine's response. Our research crystallizes into a software platform for the development of embodied voice assistants and aims to achieve concrete economic and social impact in the fields of healthcare and education.
Situated at the heart of Europe, just 90 minutes from Paris and nestled between Germany, Belgium, and Luxembourg, Nancy is a city celebrated for its unique architectural style and gastronomy.
