Dear colleagues,

We are pleased to announce the 21st Workshop on Spoken Dialogue Systems for PhDs, PostDocs & New Researchers (YRRSDS 2025), which will take place on 28–29 August 2025 at Avignon Université - Campus Hannah Arendt, Avignon, France.

This annual workshop provides a friendly forum for junior researchers to present their work, exchange ideas, and build collaborative networks within the spoken dialogue systems community.

Topics of Interest include (but are not limited to):

  • Models of dialogue: statistical, symbolic, and hybrid approaches

  • Evaluation methodology for dialogue systems

  • Semantics, pragmatics, and context in dialogue systems

  • Incremental spoken dialogue systems

  • Situated interaction with virtual and robotic agents

  • Psycholinguistic influences on dialogue system design

  • Establishing social relationships and engagement with the user

  • Data collection and dataset sharing for statistical models

  • Industry development cycles, requirements, and applications

Extended submission deadline: 10 July 2025

Notification of acceptance: 15 July 2025
