Conversational Interaction https://www.conversationalinteraction.com/ is an industry-focused conference on interactive and analytics applications of speech and NLP.  It will be held in person this year in San Jose, April 12-13.  This is a small conference and a great opportunity to network with people in industry who are actively developing and employing NLP technologies.

The conference is sponsored by the non-profit organization AVIOS https://www.avios.org/ (Applied Voice Input Output Society), which has been sponsoring speech and NLP related industry conferences for the past three decades.  There is no marketing or trade show, just technical talks and opportunities to meet the speakers.  If you’re interested in working in the field, the range of talks will provide a good overview of the many different companies and applications happening now, as well as an opportunity to hear from senior people in the field where they see it going.
